Training Courses and Coaching
Some of the training courses we offer are listed on the pages attached. These are usually 1 or 2 day courses, and structured to address the specific needs of the organization. Any portion of a course can be combined with others to develop a tailored training solution. In addition, we provide skills renewal coaching to help individuals maintain or upgrade their expertise or qualification.
PM 03 – Business Process Design and Implementation
This course is designed for department heads who wish to undertake a review of their organization to identify opportunities for improvement, and learn how to map and integrate them into the daily routine. The course includes templates and process flow examples, and leads the way to understanding what methods, systems and team alignment would reap the greatest benefit.
PM 04 – Implementing Integrated Management Technology
Designed to help identify opportunities for identifying gaps in good practice and efficiency, and how to source, purchase and implement technology that fits with your business model.
PM 09 – Public Private Partnership Strategies
Designed for Public Agencies and SPV entities, to align teams for a successful project, and ensure all risks and constraints are identified. The course includes a review of Value for money concepts, Public Sector comparator models, investment analysis and sourcing, payment mechanisms, risk management and procurement of the supply chain.
PM 11 – Partnering and Alliance Structures
This course highlights the benefits and pitfalls of partnering and alliance frameworks, and shows how to establish them to achieve continuous improvement. The course is forward looking, towards Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) systems, and provides practical advice on choosing a successful team. High profile international examples will be used to exemplify opportunities, and techniques to keep the relationship fresh and invigorated will be covered.
PM 12 – Procurement Strategies
A course to help companies understand how to identify and implement a project strategy that matches objectives to risks and constraints that leads to a delivery route that provides the optimum certainty of success. Using internally developed methodologies to test project scope and expectations against available strategies, the course will show how to analyze the inputs available and develop a recommended solution based on such factors as internal culture and capabilities; stakeholder priorities (e.g. cost certainty, schedule minimization, safety, environmental protection etc.); past experience and lessons learned; industry benchmarks; risk tolerance and clarity and definition of scope available.
PM 15 – Capital Investment Planning and Prioritization
This course sets out the framework of the planning function within different types of organization, and how to optimize the value of capital investment through integration of investment analysis and project management functions reinforced by value and risk aware management principles. Examples of investment prioritization systems are given, along with templates and techniques that improve the planning, whole life analysis and performance of the facility portfolio.
